Ecologist to discuss how you can become a citizen scientist
Enhance your enjoyment of nature and deepen your knowledge of native plants by becoming a citizen scientist in your own yard, local park or forest preserve.
Ecologist Jeff Weiss will share stories of important discoveries made by citizen scientists and practical and fun ideas based on his experiences from 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 7 during the Lake-to-Prairie Wild Ones monthly meeting at Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein.
Weiss taught native plant propagation and ecology at the College of Lake County and Morton Arboretum and is an active member of Buffalo Grove Prairie Guardians.
Attendees can join the meeting in person or via Zoom. Registration is required at https://fremontlibrary.org/event/12096340.
