Grammy nominated Larkin grad to perform in Elgin Jan. 10

Grammy-nominated Broadway performer and Larkin High School graduate Courtney Reed will perform with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra on Jan. 10 at the Hemmens Cultural Center.

Reed, who originated the role of Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Broadway production of “Aladdin,” has also appeared on Broadway in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” “Mamma Mia!” and “In The Heights.” The U-46 Foundation will sponsor a free Q&A for local students with Reed before her concert.
