Regaining trust in Washington

There was an article in Wednesday’s Daily Daily Herald about the House GOP going after Liz Cheney about the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. The best part of the article was that Chairman Barry Loudermilk wrote that until we hold those responsible accountable, we will not fully regain trust.

Now if Trump pardons those people that are in prison that were involved in the Jan. 6 attack, then he is one of the people that should be accountable and then prosecuted for his crime of releasing guilty people from prison. In case anyone forgot, people died during and as a result of this attack and millions of dollars in damage was done.

Some politicians have lost the memory of how scared they were, due to the fact they are afraid of Trump now.

People should demand that Loudermilk do the right thing so we can regain trust in Washington.
