Understand what’s needed on immigration

We continually hear the phrase "what is needed is comprehensive immigration reform," yet no one seems to identify what is wrong with our current system.

Is it that we aren't letting in enough people or is it we are allowing the wrong types of people in?

There was a saying in business, "You can't solve a problem until you identify what the problem is.” Therefore, before Congress embarks on a path that will undoubtedly lead to nowhere, let's first spell out what the wrong is that needs fixing.

The term "comprehensive immigration reform" is far too broad and perhaps a better solution is to fix a little bit at a time, that is after we first identify what needs fixing.
