Girls basketball roundup: Grayslake Central wins 6th straight; Vyverman scores 18 in Mundelein’s setback
Grayslake Central 60, Antioch 22:
Grayslake Central (9-3, 4-0) won its sixth in a row and stayed atop the Northern Lake County Conference.
Annie Wolff led the Rams with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Peyton Hoffman had 12 points and four assists while Madison Hoffman added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists.
Antioch (2-6, 1-2) was led by Addison Webb and Scarlett Carroll who each had 7 points.
Maine West 29, Elk Grove 21:
Maine West (5-5) won the neighborhood battle behind Kaitlyn Nutley’s 11 points and 11 rebounds and Alyssa Philip’s 6 points.
Elk Grove (1-11) was led by Emily Fiorito’s 7 points and J.J. Wirtz with 6 points.
Glenbrook North 43, Mundelein 37:
Mundelein (6-4) came up a bit short Casey Vyverman led the Mustangs with 18 points while Madelyn Gardner added 7 points.
