Central High School Hall of Fame honoring two teams and eight alumni
Central High School in Burlington recently announced the induction of eight individuals and two teams into its Central High School Hall of Fame. This honors their extraordinary contributions and accomplishments both during their time at the school and in their professional and personal lives.
The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, Feb. 7, at Central High School during the Central Rockets girls/boys basketball doubleheader vs. Huntley in the main gym around 6:30 p.m.
“We are excited to honor these groups of individuals and teams,” said athletic director Ted Juske. “This is a great opportunity for us to build off the tradition established with our Central High School Hall of Fame.”
This year’s inductees include a diverse group of individuals who have made significant impacts in the fields of academics, athletics, leadership, and service. Their achievements continue to inspire current students, alumni, and the broader community, making them exemplary role models for future generations.
The ceremony will include a formal recognition of each inductee between the girls and boys varsity basketball games. The evening will also include opportunities for alumni and guests to reconnect and celebrate the legacy of Central High School.
The 2025 Hall of Fame inductees are:
• Brett Porto (2003)
• Maggie Gannon (2010)
• Clint Kliem (2012)
• Ray Hunnicut (2012)
• Austin Macias (2018)
• Jordan King (2018)
• Zach Schutta (2018)
• Nick Termini (2019)
The 2025 Hall of Fame Team inductees are:
• 2012 Boys State 4 x 800-meter track relay (state champions)
• 2017 Girls State Soccer Team (third place)
The Hall of Fame induction is part of Central High School's ongoing tradition of recognizing alumni and community leaders who have made significant contributions to society. This year’s event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of excellence and achievement.
The event is open to alumni, students, faculty, and the general public. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy pre-ceremony festivities.
