A promise of shock and awe

If you watched Donald Trump’s interview on NBC’s Meet the Press last Sunday morning, you saw a man who lied through his teeth over and over again. He claimed there was no inflation during his first term, when in fact inflation was over 4% when Biden took office. He claimed his tariffs will not increase prices, when almost every economist says that they will. He lied about immigrants taking over a Colorado town.

Trump claimed crime is at an all-time high, when crime is actually down. He said that the U.S. is the only country with birthright citizenship, when over 30 countries, including Canada and Mexico, honor birthright citizenship. He has no plan to lower consumer costs. He has no plan for reforming health care, yet he trashes the ACA. And this is all in just one interview.

Trump is promising shock and awe on Day 1. Be prepared.
