Elgin firefighters union to hold bowling fundraiser Saturday

The Elgin Association of Firefighters Local 439 is hosting its third annual Holiday Bowling Fundraiser at Elgin Lanes on Saturday, Dec. 14.

The event, from 2 to 5 p.m. at 401 Shepard Dr., will feature three hours of bowling, catered food, door prizes, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, arts and crafts, face painting and a picture opportunity with Santa.

Proceeds will benefit local families in need and Project Fire Buddies, a nonprofit that pairs firefighters with critically ill children.
