Maine West showcases student talent in ‘Dimensions’ art and music event

Join Maine West High School Fine Arts for its annual Dimensions Art Show and Concert, celebrating the theme “Perspectives.“

Attendees will immerse themselves in stunning art and powerful music that explores the many ways we see, hear and experience creativity.

Fine arts department chair Jennifer Mullen shared her excitement about the upcoming Dimensions concert: "Dimensions: Perspectives will showcase work that challenges students to explore and express diverse perspectives on the world around them. The concert highlights the artistry and imagination of composers, revealing the depth and variety that make music so powerful.”

The Dimensions Art Show is on display in the main entrance lobby at Maine West from now through Dec. 19.

It features art from nearly every student artist at the school. There also will be a free public reception on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. where guests can view the art and enjoy refreshments provided by the Maine West Fine Arts Boosters.

Additionally, on Thursday, Dec. 12, all students in band, choir and orchestra classes, as well as a number of music production students, will be featured during the Dimensions Concert.

Tickets are $5 and available online (bit.ly/MWBoxOffice), in the student bookstore or at the door.

There are two concert times – the first begins at 5:30 p.m. and the second begins at 8 p.m.
