Let the Des Plaines Community Concert Band take you on a musical journey through “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” on Sunday, Dec. 15.

The concert will be held at 3 p.m. at the 298-seat Prairie Lakes Theater, 515 E. Thacker in Des Plaines. Tickets, which are $12 or $10 for seniors and students, are available at the door.

Music includes a “Mancini Spectacular” in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of American composer Henry Mancini.

Among the holiday tunes are arrangements by band members: Randy A. Steinberg’s “Festival of Lights” and Lawrence H. Underwood’s “The First Nowell.”
