United Way to distribute 500 holiday meal boxes Wednesday in Elgin

The United Way of Metro Chicago and local partners will distribute 500 holiday meal boxes to individuals and families dealing with food insecurity during a drive-through event at Elgin Community College on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Volunteers from United Way of Metro Chicago, Elgin Community College, Elgin Partnership for Early Learning, Food for Greater Elgin, Northern Illinois Food Bank and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ will distribute the boxes on a first-come, first-serve basis at 3:30 p.m. at ECC, located at 1700 Spartan Drive.
