Buffalo Grove police seeking feedback as part of reaccreditation effort

The public is invited to provide feedback on the Buffalo Grove Police Department as part of its reaccreditation process through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

An assessment team from CALEA will be in the village from Dec. 9-12 to examine all aspects of the department’s policy, procedures, management, operations and support services.

The team will verify whether the department meets the commission’s state-of-the-art standards to earn reaccreditation. The department has been accredited since 1987.

Public feedback can be offered online at http://cimrs2.calea.org/443, seeking comments on the department’s compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accredited status.

Comments also can be submitted via mail at 13575 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320, Gainesville, VA, 20155, or through email at calea@calea.org.
