Thanks to tipped workers

Servers and bartenders work hard to make the holiday season memorable.

Americans have been tipping more to show their appreciation, according to data from payment platform Square.

Thanks to the tipping system, tipped workers are reporting paychecks two to three times the minimum wage.

In fact, given the option to switch to a higher wage in lieu of tips, nine in 10 workers say they would rather keep the tipping system the way it is, according to a survey of nearly 4,000 workers.

This holiday season, let’s keep the spirit strong by continuing to support the restaurant industry workers who make it all happen.
