Winter Fest returns to the Lisle Library District Dec. 13
The Lisle Library District is hosting its annual Winter Fest from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13.
Festivities begin outdoors, where attendees can enjoy a churro (while supplies last) and meet real reindeer before they begin their trek with Santa later in the month.
A special winter story time will be held from 5 to 5:30 p.m. in the library meeting room, 777 Front St.
All-ages bingo is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the meeting room. A snowman scavenger hunt and a snowman-themed photo booth are available throughout the fest.
“Winter is the perfect time to curl up with a good book, movie, or …. joining the library for a wintery celebration with your family and friends,” said Tatiana Weinstein, director. “Winter Fest marks another great year at the LLD and a kickoff to a great new year ahead! Please join us to celebrate the season!”
The fest celebrates Winter Read, which runs from Sunday, Dec. 1 to Thursday, Jan. 9. The all-ages reading challenge encourages adults to read and log two books to earn a glass LLD mug and for youth to complete four challenges in a row on the Winter Read Bingo card to earn an LLD winter hat.
