Harper College Festival Chorus holds Christmas Concert Dec. 8

The Harper College Community Festival Chorus will perform its popular annual Christmas Concert for 2024 at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the college’s Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

The concert features a 31-piece professional orchestra; the 75 member Festival Chorus directed by Mr. Gregg Tipps and by Sara A. Inendino, assistant director and soprano soloist; piano accompanist Beverly Tipps; William Powers, noted operatic performer, as narrator; and tenor soloist, Braulio Muro round out a cast of talented musical artists.

The musical program includes: “King of Love,” by Roger Strader, arranged by Bob Krogstad; “It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas” by Meredith Willson, arranged by Mark Hayes; “Eight Days of Lights” by Judeth Clurman and David Chase; and Variations on “Jingle Bells” arranged by Mark Hayes.
