No injuries in fire that leaves Lombard home uninhabitable

No one was injured in a Saturday house fire in Lombard that left the home uninhabitable.

The Lombard Fire Department responded at 10:23 a.m. on Nov. 30 to a call on the 500 block of South Chase Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they saw flames coming from a two-story home. Five local departments assisted in putting out the fire that caused an estimated $250,000 in damage to the structure and contents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Lombard Fire Investigation Unit.
