Biased reading, biased results
Jumping off the Republican PR train, back to at least the 70s, Republican states have increasingly received more federal dollars than Democrat states.
It was a common complaint from Illinois Republicans and Democrats, but we did get Fermi and Argonne. New York and California consistently pay in more than they receive. According to economists, tearing apart these states will have an effect on the world economy. Maybe it’s time for the Republican states to stop finger pointing and learn how to run their states, but dumping ever increasing easy money into these states does not seem to encourage this.
According to many Nobel Prize-winning economists, even the “Friedman’s Disciples,” Uncle Joe’s economy statistically was among the best in the history of the U.S. and the world (not my words).
Kingship — It seems that it is acceptable for some Republicans to crown themselves? Republican Gov. Rauner, who led Illinois to the very brink of “junk bond status,” in comparison to Pritzker’s nine — yes, nine — credit upgrades.
I am not a “fandom” kind of person. From the time I was in eighth grade, I have tagged along with my father (who was a concerned citizen) to many “town hall meetings” as politicians of both parties passed through the Chicagoland area. Many times, I got to ask them questions face to face. Most of them were happy to indulge me. I have never cast a vote that I did not do as much research as possible. When does competency supersede fandom. I blame Hollywood.
