Buffalo Grove to vote on infrastructure fee hike

Buffalo Grove trustees will vote Monday on a proposed increase to fees for water and sewer service.

The village board will consider a 10% increase in 2025. The fee would go up by 2.5% every year after that.

For residents of single-family homes, this would mean the monthly fee would increase from $17.39 to $19.13 in 2025. Annual village revenue from the fee would go from $2.5 million to $2.75 million as a result.

The village board established the fee in 2020 for each metered utility account, with the money going toward maintenance and replacement of water and sewer infrastructure.
