Saint Viator CFO receives industry recognition

Saint Viator High School CFO Karen Koch was recently recognized as CFO of the Year for Mid-Sized Not-For-Profit organizations at the 13th annual Financial Executive International Chicago Awards. Koch has served as the school’s financial executive since 2020.

"Karen is instrumental in annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for Saint Viator High School," said Saint Viator President Ryan Aiello. "We are thrilled that she was recognized for her accomplishments at Saint Viator."

Koch also serves as the human resources officer of the school, presents financial statements to the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees, maintains the school’s audit, banking, and investment relationships as well as manages the tuition assistance program.

"I am honored to be awarded the CFO of the Year Award," said Koch. "I am grateful for the wonderful team at Saint Viator High School, which has been part of my journey for the past four years.”

FEI Chicago Chapter’s Chicago CFO of the Year Awards is a celebration recognizing and honoring Chicago Financial Leaders who have made exceptional contributions to their organizations. Recipients are selected from a group of finalists and awards are presented in Public, Private, and Not-For-Profit categories.

Koch was one of several finalists in the Not-For-Profit category and was recognized for her remarkable dedication and leadership at Saint Viator. A CPA, Koch holds a BS in Finance from Aurora University.
