Pearl Harbor Day Luncheon set for Dec. 9

Aurora Navy League Council 247 and Rotary Club of Aurora United will hold their annual Pearl Harbor Day Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, at Lincoln Inn Banquets, 1345 Batavia Ave. in Batavia.

The public is invited. Admission is $30 at the door. Parking is free.

Keynote speaker will be Capt. Christopher Labissiere, U.S. Navy commanding officer, Great Lakes Naval Station in North Chicago.

Veterans will be honored, achievement awards will be presented to local high school students and a local color guard will post the colors.

About 300 people are expected to attend. Preregistration is requested by calling (630) 896-4941 or email maebeling@att.net.
