The Geneva Carriage Rides kick off for the season on Saturday, Dec. 7, and will be available to visitors from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 22. Passengers may board at Third and James streets.

“The Carriage Rides add to the magic that is the holiday season in Geneva,” said Johanna Patterson, Communications Director for the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. “It is a quintessential Christmas bucket list item to do in our charming downtown area.”

A cherished tradition of the holiday season in Geneva for more than 30 years, the rides offer a perfect setting for holiday photos and engagements. The rides also create memories the whole family will treasure for years to come. They also are the perfect way for visitors to experience the ambience of downtown Geneva during the holidays. Among the sponsors helping to make the complimentary rides possible is Gerald Subaru of North Aurora.

“Our sponsors are so important to us,” Patterson said. “Without them we would not be able to provide all we do for the people visiting our town. We are so grateful for their support!”

Donna Lawler of the Gerald Auto Group said Gerald is excited to support the Carriage Rides this year.

“We’re always thrilled to sponsor activities that bring families together to celebrate the season,” Lawler said. “There’s nothing more enchanting than a traditional carriage ride through a charming, historic downtown area beautifully adorned for the holidays.”
