Thanksgiving meal in Lake Zurich for those in need
Those in need or with nowhere to go can share a Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Culver’s restaurant, 645 N. Rand Road, Lake Zurich.
St. Francis de Sales parish in Lake Zurich and Transfiguration in Wauconda, with the Knights of Columbus Council #4535, are partnering with Peace Lutheran Church, St. Peter UCC, Messiah Lutheran and The Hope Collective and Culver’s to provide anyone in need with a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
St. Francis de Sales parishioners Paul and Adrienne Virgilio provided 400 pounds of turkey breasts and participating churches donated sweet and mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberries, mac and cheese and desserts, including cookies and pies.
