St. Mark’s Lutheran in St. Charles sets Advent and Christmas worship schedule

St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Charles has announced its worship schedule for Thanksgiving and the Christmas season. The holiday schedule begins with a Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m. Worshippers are encouraged to bring canned food items that will be given to the local Salvation Army food ministry.

Advent services will follow on the following three Wednesdays (Dec. 4-18) at 6:30 p.m.

The Christmas worship schedule begins with four services on Christmas Eve. The 2 and 4 p.m. will be the Family Praise service followed by traditional candlelight services at 7 and 9 p.m.

The final Christmas service will be on Christmas morning at 10 a.m.

“The period of Thanksgiving through Christmas is a great opportunity for the community to thank God for his abundant blessings to us,” said Pastor Jaimie Holt. “St. Mark’s is happy that we can provide a variety of worship opportunities to celebrate the birth of Jesus as our savior.”

The church welcomes all that desire to participate in the joy of the holiday season. St. Mark’s is a welcoming church that opens its doors to the entire community.

“We want all who visit our church to feel comfortable in worship whether it is your first time at St. Mark’s or a regular participant,” Holt said.
