Forest & Found Thrift donates $40,000 to two local nonprofits this quarter
The Forest & Found board recently announced that their quarterly donations of $20,000 each was given to Bravo Waukegan and Mother’s Trust to help them continue their mission in underserved areas of Lake County.
Bravo Waukegan provides Waukegan public school students with opportunities to grow through music. This is done by supporting music faculty with programs and resources for well-supervised and creative after-school and summer music activities. With this donation instruments can be purchased and the program can be expanded to include more students.
Mothers Trust provides immediate assistance during times of crisis to low- income children living in Lake County. This foundation collaborates with social workers and school counselors when they identify a child in crisis. They focus on families who have nowhere else to turn, providing tangible necessities that change lives and keep kids on track.
Forest & Found is able to make these quarterly donations because of the donations of goods and the thrift store’s loyal customers.
