Bartlett man accused of puncturing vehicle tires

A Bartlett man is accused of intentionally puncturing tires on a pair of parked vehicles during the overnight hours from Friday to Saturday, police said Monday.

Anthony Mariniello, 78, is charged with two Class A misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, police said.

Mariniello’s arrest and charges followed an investigation that began when officers responded Saturday to reports about two vehicles with punctured tires on the 400 and 500 blocks of Ford Lane. The damage was estimated at between $300 and $500, police said.

After being taken into custody at his residence, Mariniello was released and scheduled for a hearing at the Cook County courthouse in Rolling Meadows on Jan. 17.
