Naperville’s Zion Lutheran to host Christmas Cookie Walk and fun fair

Join Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church’s second annual Christmas Cookie Walk and Kids’ Christmas Fun Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 7, in the church’s activity center, 11007 Book Road in Naperville.

The congregation’s bakers will again be offering you dozens and dozens of homemade Christmas cookies to choose from. Take as many or as few of any varieties you want, cookies are all sold at $10 per pound. Bring some to work, bring them to your Christmas party, give some to a neighbor. Credit and debit cards will be accepted.

The net proceeds will be all going to assist a local family undergoing financial hardship due to extreme and uncovered medical expenses. Their 1-year-old baby has already gone through numerous brain and other surgeries and will need more. Feeding is difficult and she is on oxygen 24/7. Buying Christmas cookies at this event will help them.

Don’t forget to bring the kids or grandkids as there will be arts & crafts, sing-alongs, face painting, and several Christmas-themed photo-op boards. Bring your camera phone — seeing your child or grandchild as a Magi, Angel or any of several other options will create a lifelong treasure. They would make great Christmas cards.
