Maine West High School Hosts its First Warrior Con
Maine West High School is hosting its first ever Warrior Con – which is similar to a Comic Con event – on Saturday, Nov. 23.
It will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Upper Commons of the school, 1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines. The convention will feature Chicago area’s best artists and illustrators, including Eisner-award winning DC Comics and Dr. Seuss artist Art Baltazar.
In addition to connecting with artists, attendees will enjoy a variety of pop culture merchandise, including Funko Pops, anime, collectibles, sketches, books, artwork, toys, action figures, Hot Wheels, pins, magnets and more. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
Warrior Con is family-friendly and open to all ages. Admission is $5 per person and can be purchased at the door.
All entry proceeds support the Maine West Fine Arts Boosters. Parking can be found in the back of the school off Oakton Street and visitors can enter through the bus concourse.
