Des Plaines seeks input on downtown redevelopment

The Des Plaines City Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a public presentation on the city’s Downtown Economic Development Strategic Plan.

City consultant Teska & Associates will discuss the work done so far on shaping the plan, provide a market analysis and a draft for economic development criteria before opening the meeting up for public comment.

The plan is intended to identify opportunities and preferred options for downtown redevelopment that will draw more people and businesses to the city’s central business district.

The meeting will take place in Room 102 of city hall, 1420 Miner St.
