One incumbent, two other residents file for board seats in Mundelein

Next spring’s race for seats on Mundelein’s village board has attracted three candidates so far.

Three seats, each with 4-year terms, will be on the spring 2025 ballot. Candidate filing began Tuesday.

Incumbent Daniel Juarez, who was appointed to the board in 2023, filed paperwork to run for the seat for the first time.

Residents Jennifer Grieco and Arnold Krinski also filed petitions. Grieco is a member of the village’s volunteer economic development commission, and Krinski ran for village clerk in 2017.

Incumbent Trustee Tim Wilson is running for mayor rather than the board again. Wilson was elected to the board in 2021.

Incumbent Jenny Ross' seat also is up for election. Ross hasn’t filed yet but on Wednesday said she intends to submit her paperwork Monday, the last day possible.

Ross, a former Fremont Public Library District board member, was elected to the village board in 2021.
