Camerata Chicago brings ‘Messiah’ concert to Naperville’s New Covenant Church

On Saturday, Nov. 16, the Camerata Chicago Chamber Orchestra, a premier musical ensemble conducted by Maestro Drostan Hall, once again will present “The Messiah” by Handel (Part I Christmas) and the Hallelujah Chorus at New Covenant Church in Naperville.

The concert will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the church’s sanctuary at 1 Bunting Lane.

The concert will feature four accomplished soloists: soprano Michelle Areyzaga, mezzo-soprano Lauren Decker, tenor Martin Luther Clark, and bass baritone Ron Dukes

At this concert, the Camerata Chicago Orchestra and Choir actually will perform the Hallelujah Chorus twice — the second time giving the audience the opportunity to join in for a rousing finale to this sacred music performance.

Tickets are $50; $40 for age 65 or older; $10 for students with ID; or $2 for age 14 or younger, accompanied by a paid adult. Use coupon code NCCN for a 25% discount.

The church was founded in 2008 and merged with Naperville Congregational Church in 2011 to become the New Covenant Church of Naperville. Its vision is to see Christ preached from all the Scriptures; love extended unto the church, the city, and the world; and lives transformed by the power of the gospel. Sunday services are at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.
