Are political lobbies Americans first?
As we conclude another election season, I think all concerned citizens should be asking our political leaders where the loyalties of our representatives and candidates truly lie. When they accept financial support from lobbies that clearly serve the interests of other countries, we must ask: who do you represent? Is it us, the American people, or the agendas of other nations?
These politicians often appear to be in political servitude to foreign powers, prioritizing their interests over those of our own country. Shouldn’t we focus on freeing America from this influence before attempting to free others abroad?
Lobbies create a troubling dynamic where these lobbies work in the U.S. not to strengthen it, but to use its resources to benefit their home countries. This undermines the core interests of America.
When I became a citizen, I was asked if I would take up arms for this country. Today, I ask our representatives: are you willing to be truly American, and serve the interest of this country, or are you beholden to foreign interests?
It’s time we demand full allegiance to the country they were elected to serve.
