Batavia police arrest man in stabbing
A 29-year old man was charged in connection with a stabbing on Saturday evening at 1000 S Batavia Ave.
Batavia police officers found Anthony Garrett, 29, standing outside a vehicle with a woman with a torso stab wound sitting in the driver’s seat.
The 29-year old woman was transported to a hospital where she is in stable condition.
Garrett was charged with five counts of battery, armed violence, and destroying evidence after a knife was found in the leaves and trees near the vehicle.
