Sprinklers extinguish fire at Arlington Heights hotel room
No injuries were reported from a fire at an Arlington Heights hotel room early Tuesday morning.
Fire officials said sprinklers in the third-floor room helped extinguish the blaze and keep it from spreading to other rooms in the building on the 2000 block of South Arlington Heights Road.
Firefighters were called to the hotel at about 6 a.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it appears to have started by a light fixture in the hotel room’s bathroom.
No other rooms sustained damage, fire officials said.
