Huntley Rotary Club delivers dozens of winter coats for Grafton Food Pantry clients

Forty-nine coats for Grafton Food Pantry patrons will be available this Christmas, thanks to Rotary Club of Huntley and the generous Huntley Chamber of Commerce members.

For several years, the food pantry has requested assistance so they may distribute new hooded, warm jacket or coats to protect their adult patrons from Illinois’ harsh winters.

For other community service opportunities, contact HuntleyRotary@yahoo.com or HuntleyRotary.org.

The Huntley Rotary Club was chartered May 17, 2000 and has contributed to many worthwhile projects locally and around the world. Local projects include sponsoring Rotary exchange students; providing digital literacy tools to children and students in Huntley Unit District 158 and the Huntley Area Public Library; scholarships for Huntley High School students; support for the Grafton Food Pantry and local Salvation Army projects; and fundraisers which raise awareness and funds for other local nonprofit groups.

Most recently the club has established the Warren Higgins Scholarships for Vocational Training in Nigeria and contributes also to Wheelchairs of Hope in Nigeria.
