Barrington Area Chamber rolls out Holiday Cash Dash to support local businesses

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce is launching its first Holiday Cash Dash, a scavenger hunt aimed at spreading holiday cheer while driving business to local stores.

This fun-filled campaign encourages the community to get involved by shopping locally for a chance to win one of several $50 gift cards each week.

This holiday season, the Holiday Cash Dash is focused on driving traffic to local businesses while adding an element of fun as participants hunt for hidden gift cards.

Each week, the chamber will reveal clues for three local businesses where $50 gift cards are hidden. Shoppers can follow the chamber’s Facebook and Instagram pages to receive weekly updates and clues about the date, time, and general location of the hidden gift cards. Participating areas include downtown Barrington, Pepper Road in Lake Barrington, The Arboretum of South Barrington, Deer Park Town Center, and more.

“This campaign brings a new level of excitement to local shopping,” said Suzanne Corr, chamber president. “Our goal with the Holiday Cash Dash is to encourage holiday shoppers to explore Barrington-area businesses, enjoy the festive spirit, and discover new stores while supporting our local economy. We’re inviting the whole community to have fun and get involved.”

Participants are encouraged to join the scavenger hunt by following the chamber on social media, where clues and updates will be posted weekly. Those lucky enough to find the hidden BACC logo sign at one of the participating businesses will win a $50 gift card from that location.

“The Holiday Cash Dash isn’t just about prizes — it’s about bringing people together to celebrate local businesses and create memorable shopping experiences during one of the busiest times of the year,” Corr said.

Join in and stay updated on the clues by following BACC on Facebook at BarringtonAreaChamberIL and on Instagram at barringtonareachamber.
