Naperville man sentenced to 6 years in prison for 2020 drug death
A Naperville man was sentenced to six years in prison Wednesday for his role in the fatal overdose of an Aurora man.
Samuel Nesnidal, 27, of the 2300 block of Putnam Drive, pleaded guilty in May to drug-induced homicide stemming from the 2020 death of 24-year-old Austin Bank.
Aurora police found Bank dead Oct. 2, 2020, at a home on the 200 block of South Commonwealth Avenue. The Kane County coroner later determined he died from a combination of fentanyl and ketamine intoxication, officials said.
Nesnidal and Bank texted about a drug sale the day before, authorities said. According to police, Nesnidal provided two grams of ketamine, an anesthetic, and two ounces of a “drink” to Bank.
Nesnidal will have to serve 75% of his sentence before being eligible for parole.
