Palatine group collecting essentials for students in need

Palatine-based People Helping People is a hosting a donation drive through Nov. 7 to collect household essentials such as clothing, hygiene items and nonperishable snacks for at-need students at Academy North and Palatine, Fremd and Rolling Meadows high schools.

Collection boxes are located at 17 sites throughout the community. For a list of sites, visit https://php-palatine.com.

People Helping People is a charity committed to supporting people on need by providing essential food and clothing. Among its initiatives is The Comfort Closet, a program facilitated by school counselors and social worker to ensure students in need have easy access to necessary essentials within their schools.
