District 214 Community Education’s Senior Celebration returns for 32nd year

For the 32nd year, District 214 Community Education is hosting a special Senior Celebration event — with entertainment and information specially designed for older residents.

The Senior Celebration will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, in Arlington Heights.

Seniors can play free bingo with prizes and enjoy live music from the Arlington Heights Community Concert Band. Community Education instructors will offer interactive demonstrations of two popular fitness options: Tai Chi and chair yoga.

Attendees can visit with a variety of senior-focused businesses and organizations, including tech support, legal services, health care advisers, senior living communities and other enrichment activities.

Rep’s Place, the Rolling Meadows-based restaurant owned by a District 214 alum, will offer food items for purchase.

Entry to the event is free, but preregistration is requested; visit links.d214.org/seniorcelebration.

For information, call the Community Education office at (847) 718-7700 or email ce@d214.org.
