Free basketball skills clinic Saturday

The Gurnee Park District in collaboration with Warren Township High School’s girls basketball team is hosting a free skills clinic from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hunt Club Park Community Center gym, 920 N. Hunt Club Road.

Ballhandling, passing and shooting are among the skills to be taught from 1:30 to 2:20 p.m. for third- through fifth-graders and from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. for sixth- through eighth-graders.

Participants should bring their own basketball, if they have one, athletic wear, indoor gym shoes and a water bottle. Registration is required. Visit the events calendar at gurneeparkdistrict.com to register.
