Des Plaines library’s writing contest deadline approaching

There’s still time for young storytellers to enter the Des Plaines Public Library’s Wicked Good Writing Contest.

The contest is open to kindergartners through eighth graders. Participants are challenged to write a two-sentence story that can be scary for Halloween or not.

The deadline is Oct. 28.

Entries will be accepted online at shorturl.at/neECR and at the youth services desk at the library, 1501 Ellinwood St., through Oct. 28.

Winners will be revealed on Halloween.
