Incumbent has helped on property taxes

As a senior and the wife of a veteran, I appreciate all of the efforts that my State Representative Nabeela Syed has put into helping to reduce our property taxes.

Since being elected to represent the 51st District, Rep. Syed has voted to expand the property tax exemption for veterans. Also, she has sponsored a bill that would increase the senior property tax freeze threshold from $65,000 to $80,000. Both of these actions are pragmatic solutions that help those of us in our later years on a fixed income. I’ve been happy to see this as a focus of my representative in Springfield.

So, this November, I plan to support IL State Representative Nabeela Syed for re-election. I hope that other veterans and seniors in our community will consider the same.
