I just wanted to say how much I loved the article, “To Finish Is To Win”, by Dave Oberhelman, Oct. 11. It was super cool to read about why people from the suburbs run the Chicago Marathon.

I thought it was awesome how you talked about personal goals and how runners support each other. It’s nice to know that they cheer each other on and make friends while training! Also, I really liked how some runners raise money for charities. That makes the marathon even more special.
