Sunrise of Prospect Heights Hosts Trunk or Treat Oct. 24
Sunrise of Prospect Heights’ Trunk or Treat event welcomes guests of all ages for treats, refreshments, fall-themed activities, and a chance to tour the newly managed senior living community, located at 708 N. Elmhurst Road, Prospect Heights. The costume-optional event is on Thursday, Oct. 24, 3-5 p.m. Register by calling 847-818-1808.
“The Trunk or Treat event is a fun opportunity for seniors and their families to tour the community and experience how Sunrise is more than a place to live. We’re truly a home for seniors,” said Denise Herrmann, Sunrise Executive Director.
Sunrise leaders, residents, families and team members celebrated its new management last month with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Rich Tibbots, the City of Prospect Heights treasurer and Mike Putz, director of the Wheeling/Prospect Heights Chamber of Commerce.
One of the newest communities in the Sunrise Senior Living family, Sunrise of Prospect Heights brings more than 40 years of experience and leadership in senior care to Cook County.
“Whether you’re looking for assisted living, memory care services or short-term stays, Sunrise has a proven track record of providing personalized, high-quality services. We’re excited to continue championing the quality of life for seniors in Prospect Heights and Cook County,” said Herrmann.
Sunrise communities are known for personalized care and support to ensure residents receive attention tailored to their needs. A dedicated team of caregivers is available around the clock, providing a comprehensive range of services, including medication management and assistance with daily living activities. The integration of innovative technology, such as the electronic health record system, further promotes consistent and individualized care.
Social events, programs, activities, and chef’s home-cooked meals reflect residents’ preferences. “We learn as much as we can about residents’ interests and life stories to help them live each day with purpose, joy and dignity,” said Herrmann.
The Reminiscence Neighborhood is an engaging and secure space for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Trained Life Enrichment Managers engage residents using the Validation Method as well as other special memory care techniques and memory-focused activities.
Sunrise provides assessments to identify the unique needs of each resident, as well as in-person and virtual tours. For more information or to schedule a tour, please call 847-818-1808 or visit the Sunrise of Prospect Heights website.
