Sugar Grove woman killed in hit-and-run

The Kane County coroner has identified a woman who died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver last week in Sugar Grove. Elaine Zielke, 69, of Sugar Grove was hit by a vehicle around 10:28 p.m. Oct. 12 on the 1900 block of Fay’s Lane in the Dugan Woods subdivision, authorities said. She died the next day. She did volunteer work at her church, Cross Lutheran of Yorkville. Her funeral is Oct. 27.
