Warren-Newport Public Library Hosts Library After Dark Fundraiser
The Warren-Newport Public Library District has announced the return of its popular after-hours event, Library After Dark, from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. This special event is a fundraiser for the library's endowment fund and promises an evening of live music, adult beverages, and delicious food.
The Warren-Newport Public Library is at 224 North O’Plaine Road, Gurnee.
Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
Attendees must be 21 or older, with valid ID with proof of age required at the door. Adult beverages will be available for purchase.
“We are very excited to be hosting this fun event for the entire community,” Executive Director Ryan Livergood said. “Attendees will also have an opportunity to check out the Workshop, our new library maker space.”
Participating donors and partners include Tighthead Brewing Company, Glunz Family Winery & Cellars, Stolie, Community Trust Credit Union and Mellen & Co. Insurance.

The Warren-Newport Public Library District, founded by volunteers in 1973, serves a population of approximately 67,000 within a 55-square mile area that covers all or most of Warren and Newport townships, including Gurnee, Wadsworth, Park City, Wildwood, Grandwood Park, Old Mill Creek and portions of Grayslake, Millburn, Lake Villa, Libertyville and Waukegan.
