Pottawatomie Garden Club plants flowers in St. Charles

On Sept. 18, the Pottawatomie Garden Club gathered its members to plant fall mums on the bridges in downtown St. Charles. This is just one of many contributions that the garden club makes to the St. Charles community.

As well as planting flowers in the spring and the fall, the garden club awards scholarships to local students, plants memorial trees for past members, helps with the daffodil bulb planting in Mount St. Mary Park, presents an annual landscape commendation award to a business in the area and other philanthropic activities.

The garden club meets from March until October and its meetings are open to the public.
