Geneva investigating car burglaries

At least 13 cars were reported burglarized overnight from Oct. 9 to Oct. 10, primarily in the Fisher Farms subdivision on the west side of Geneva, and police say they believe there may be more victims.

Residents who have discovered items missing from their cars should report the incident by calling (630) 232-4736.

Police are asking subdivision residents to report any suspicious activity that may have been captured on their video doorbell cameras sometime after 11 p.m. on Oct. 9.

According to a news release, Kane County deputies investigated a report of a suspicious man near the sheriff’s office on Route 38. They arrested him on unrelated charges and found items that had been stolen from the cars in Geneva.

Cars were burglarized on Nelson Drive, Cannon Drive, Lorraine Circle, Fieldstone Drive, Hillcrest Road and Larsdotter Lane.
