‘X’ marks the spot for tricks and treats at Pirate Pete’s Halloween Festival
Palatine High School's beloved Trick-or-Treat with Pirate Pete Festival is back for its 28th year.
This year’s festival will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, at Palatine High School, 1111 N. Rohlwing Road. The event welcomes children ages 10 and younger, who must be accompanied by an adult.
This fun-filled event celebrates the fall season and Halloween, and admission is free. Costumes are encouraged. Guests will enjoy themed rooms and festive decorations, all organized by various Palatine High School clubs, organizations, programs and sports teams. Rooms will be clearly labeled as “scary” or “not scary” so families can choose age-appropriate experiences. Each room will feature carnival games and candy for attendees.
Every year, Palatine Principal Tony Medina, recognizes the importance of this long-standing tradition in the Palatine community. The connection this event allows Palatine High School to make with members of the Palatine community is invaluable for all who participate.
Palatine High School extends its appreciation to the dedicated staff and students who volunteer their time to make this event a success.
The festival is also made possible through the generous support of community organizations, businesses, and the Palatine High School Pirate Boosters.
Community members interested in donating candy for the festival can contact Administrative Assistant Shannon Szukala at (847) 755-1611 to arrange a drop-off time.
