Kane County hiring election judges

Kane County is seeking people to serve as election judges for the Nov. 5 election.

A judge must be a U.S. citizen by Nov. 5. High school juniors and seniors can serve if they have at least a 3.0 grade-point average on a 4-point scale and have written approval from their school’s principal and a parent or guardian.

All election judges have to complete a training course.

On Election Day, judges serve from 5 a.m. until all the votes have been processed after the polls close. Certified judges are paid $250 for working on Election Day.

To apply, visit clerk.kanecountyil.gov/Elections/Pages/Election-Judges.aspx or call (630) 232-5990.
