Palatine man charged with punching, spitting on police officers
A Palatine man is charged with punching and spitting on police officers who responded to a domestic disturbance.
Luis A. Camacho, 31, of the 1400 block of East Whispering Springs Court is charged with four counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer and two counts of resisting a peace officer, both felonies.
He also faces two counts of domestic battery and one count of obstructing Identification, both misdemeanors.
Camacho was given a hearing in a Rolling Meadows courtroom Monday and granted pretrial release. He is next scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20.
Shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1400 block of Whispering Springs Ct. for the report of a disturbance.
During the course of their investigation, officers told Camacho he was under arrest for domestic battery. When officers attempted to take him into custody, he punched two officers in the face and spat on them, police said.
Officers sustained minor injuries and were treated and released at the scene by paramedics.
